THE SOUL YOGA STORY

Madeleine began her Yoga teaching journey in Nosara, Costa Rica. It was through this transformative training program that she tapped into a realization: our lives are our own, every step we take toward aligning more deeply with our true purpose is an act of self-love. Returning home from Nosara, Madeleine was accepted into a Masters in Counselling program and began the process of intentionally redefining her life path. Over the past decade of practice, Yoga has evolved into a therapeutic anchor in her life, supporting her physical, mental, and spiritual well-being as she navigated the ebbs and flows of life's challenges. For Madeleine, Yoga embodies self-expression, a sanctuary amidst life's chaos, and a driving force during moments of stagnancy.

Her home is in North Vancouver, BC, on traditional səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) territory. She spends as much time as possible outdoors, believing in nature as a muse, grounding us, nurturing creativity, and fostering resilience through self-reliance. Upon completing her Masters degree, Madeleine is excited to blend her passions and share them with her community: to guide her students in deepening their self-connection, offering guided movement and intentional stillness as vital components of the therapeutic journey, and honoring the wisdom bestowed by nature through wilderness immersion.

Madeleine’s calling in life is to facilitate others in rediscovering themselves. As a teacher, she strives to bring people out of their minds and into their bodies, fostering presence and self-awareness. She is an avid supporter of the idea that each of us possesses the power to unearth and honor our life's purpose, with Yoga serving as a potent medium to attune to this inner wisdom, ultimately allowing us to honor ourselves and those around us. Her teaching journey has allowed Madeleine to share her passion, build her community, and pour love and energy into the people in her life.
